Welcome to International Law and Politics

From 2004, the School of Law and the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Canterbury have offered specialist Law and Master’s degrees in International Law and Politics. These qualifications are to meet growing interest in multi-disciplinary study in international law and politics. The degrees will be partly taught and partly research based. They are designed to examine the international order from two distinct perspectives: law and politics. Students whose main interest is in developing their knowledge of international law will be able to register for the LL.M. (International Law and Politics), while students whose main interest is in international politics will be able to register for the Master of International Law and Politics.
