E-mail access off campus
Accessing your e-mail from off campus is straightforward using the web access URL for Outlook:
https://exchange.canterbury.ac.nz/exchange/
However you may need to prefix your user name with uocnt\ (e.g. uocnt\abd12 ) if accessing Outlook on the web off campus.
Accessing My Documents off campus
Please read the instructions on the ICTS website for accessing documents.
The link to use from off campus for accessing your 'My Documents' is:
ftp://mydocuments.canterbury.ac.nz/
You may have to REFRESH the browser web page if you encounter a 'can't find server error'. You should then see a user name and password menu appear.
Note: While you can open any file to VIEW it, DO NOT MAKE CHANGES to an open document inside the My Documents window as these changes will not be saved! Instead, if you wish to access and change files, COPY and PASTE the file onto the computer you are using to access your folder, then open and make changes to the document as desired. Finally COPY and PASTE the revised saved file back into the window that contains your My Documents material. There will be a request to overwrite the existing file. Alternatively, you could save the file under another name.
